Robert Babboni is a print and digital illustrator and motion graphic artist whose work has appeared in numerous magazines, newspapers, and print and digital publishers. (The Wall Street Journal, Rolling Stone, Time Magazine, The Washington Post, The Village Voice, Penguin Group, and a host of others.) I recently saw his short animation piece, The Castle, in a gallery in Chelsea and was eerily transfixed. Based on the story by Mona Z. Smith, it's the moody tale of a boy who decides to visit an old abandoned castle across the river and finds it inhabited by a host of otherworldly creatures.
